Usage

Scoop half a teaspoon (or 1 gram) of matcha powder into a glass bowl. Break up the powder with a whisk (in Japan a traditional bamboo brush is used) so that there are no lumps.

Add about 80ml of hot water (not boiling!). Beat the mixture in an M or W shape until foam forms. Drink it slowly (but make sure your tea is finished before the powder starts to settle at the bottom.)

Why would you choose this Matcha?

Our Matcha comes from an organic plantation and contains many antioxidants that contribute to good resistance.

Healthy substitute for coffee

Matcha is considered an alternative to coffee due to the presence of caffeine, albeit in smaller amounts, which can provide a gradual energy boost without the sharp peaks and crashes of coffee. In addition, matcha provides antioxidants and a gentler effect on the stomach and nervous system, making it an attractive alternative for some people.

The difference between all Matchas

  1. Matcha Original: The Matcha Original is of a lower quality than the Premium Matcha and Matcha Ceremonial. The Matcha Original is often produced from the lower leaves that have received less sun. The Matcha has a soft, not bitter taste. In addition, the green color is less bright than the other Matchas.
  2. Matcha Premium: Premium matcha is a step up from standard matcha. It is produced from the upper leaves of the tea plant, which have received more sun. The taste of Premium Matcha is even softer with sweet notes. THE Premium Matcha therefore has a lively green color.
  3. Matcha Ceremonial: Ceremonial matcha is the highest quality matcha, specially intended for traditional Japanese tea ceremonies. It is made from the youngest and most delicate leaves of the tea plant. The taste of ceremonial matcha is very refined, soft and slightly sweet, without any bitterness. Ceremonial matcha has a bright emerald green color, which is indicative of the most careful cultivation and processing.

Health Benefits

Matcha has become an indispensable part of trendy coffee bars in recent years, but matcha has also become very popular as a supplement. This is because matcha is known as a so-called superfood. And that is not without reason, because matcha powder is rich in proteins and fibers. In addition, it contains nutrients such as calcium, iron, potassium and caffeine. In addition, matcha has a positive contribution to your energy and alertness.

The ideal coffee substitute

Would you like to drink less coffee? Maybe because you notice clammy hands or an accelerated heart rate from it. But do you need the energy you normally get from drinking a cup of coffee? Then 100% organic matcha of the highest quality is for you.

Step 1

Take half a teaspoon of matcha per 300 ml of water.

Step 2

Beat with the matcha whisk.

Step 3

Enjoy the soft, not bitter taste of the matcha.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes matcha different from regular green tea?

Unlike regular green tea leaves, matcha tea leaves are grown in a shaded area before being harvested. This process increases the content of chlorophyll and amino acids, giving matcha a richer taste and a more intense green color.

How is matcha made?

Matcha is made by picking tea leaves, steaming them, drying them and then grinding them into a fine powder using traditional granite mills.

Can I use matcha in recipes?

Yes, matcha can be used in a variety of recipes, including smoothies, baked goods, ice cream, and even savory dishes. Adding matcha to recipes often gives them a subtle green tea flavor and a beautiful green color.

How long does matcha stay fresh?

To maintain the freshness and quality of matcha, it is best to store it in a cool, dry place. This allows the powder to retain its taste and nutrients for several months to a year.

Is matcha caffeinated?

Yes, matcha contains caffeine, but its effects are different from coffee. Matcha also contains the amino acid L-theanine, which can help soften the effects of caffeine and promote a calming focus.

Can everyone drink matcha?

In general, matcha is safe for most people to consume, but it contains caffeine, so people who are sensitive to caffeine should take it into account. However, pregnant women and people with certain health conditions should exercise caution and consult their doctor if necessary before consuming matcha.

What is matcha?

Matcha is a finely ground powder made from specially grown and processed green tea leaves. It is a traditional Japanese ingredient that has been used in tea ceremonies for centuries. Because you consume the entire leaf in powder form, matcha contains more nutrients than regular green tea.

What is matcha good for?

Matcha is valued by many for its versatility and rich nutritional profile. It is often used to create a moment of calm and focus, or as a flavorful addition to various dishes such as smoothies, baked goods, and the popular matcha latte.

What is matcha tea?

Matcha tea is a traditional Japanese drink made by dissolving matcha powder in hot water. Unlike other teas, where the leaves are steeped, the entire powder is whipped in water, allowing you to consume the entire leaf.

Is matcha healthy?

Matcha contains a high concentration of nutrients because the entire tea leaf is consumed. This makes it a popular choice for people looking to enrich their diet. It is rich in antioxidants, amino acids, and contains natural energy sources. Just make sure you buy high-quality matcha from trusted sources.

What does matcha taste like?

Matcha has a unique, rich flavor that is often described as slightly bitter with a sweet, umami undertone. The flavor can vary depending on the quality of the matcha, with higher quality often having a milder, sweeter flavor.
